The
city of Roswell Georgia was founded on the banks of the Chattahoochee
River in 1839. It was founded by Roswell King a man that envisioned
cotton mills powered by the water of Vickery creek, a tributary of the
Chattahoochee. The city of Roswell was incorporated in 1854. It
consisted of two cotton mills, one wool factory and a flourmill. It
functioned as a "small southern mill town" until the mid 1950s. The
Roswell Mill continued to produce cloth until 1975, when Southern Mills
finally ceased operations there. The Mill stands where it was built in
1882 just up from its original location in 1839. Today the Mill area has
been restored and serves as center of the Historic District, and
culturally enriches the community, which surrounds it. It continues to
serve Roswell residents and visitors with its rich in historic homes,
fine antique shops, restaurants, concerts and cultural events.

is conveniently located in North Fulton County, just 15 miles north of the City
of Atlanta, and straddles the Chattahoochee River with a lovely rolling terrain,
with lush trees. The City of Roswell boasts a historic district, fine schools
both public and private, and has one of Atlanta's finest parks and recreation
systems. Come home to Roswell Georgia, one of Atlanta's most sought after
communities such as: Brookfield West, Horseshoe Bend, Willow Springs, Martins
